STUDY PROJECTS
The focus of study projects is to incorporate elements of inter - disciplinary applied research, Participatory Appraisal (PA) and Problem Based Learning (PBL) into students curricula. This is expected to raise awareness among students of the work reality, dynamics and problems in the productive sector.
This will enable students to apply their theoretical knowledge in the analysis of real - time problems arising in the sector.
COMMON LEARNING OUTCOMES FOR THE STUDY PROJECTS
Upon completion of the study projects the students should be able to:
- Have an overview of the different approaches and methodologies used in value chain analysis
- Designing a research concept (theoretical and analytical framework) and instrumentalise it
- Analyse the information retrieved against background information given and the theoretical framework
- Elaborate, present and evaluate results and conclusions
- Identify problem, objective, information needs and sources
- Planning and implementation of research process in a collaborative way
- Present, discuss and evaluate outcomes of the team work
- Roles and functions in the team
- Integrate contributions from all members and disciplines
- Identify and moderate conflicts in the group, principles thereof
- Metacommunication: reflecting on team work skills and group process, giving feedback, evaluating own behaviour in the team
1) on VC analysis methodologies;
2) on PBL and team work
